Dental specialists complete two to six extra years of training after dental school and usually work on referral from a general dentist, although most accept patients who call directly. Orthodontists straighten teeth with braces and clear aligners; endodontists handle root canals; periodontists treat gum disease and place implants; oral and maxillofacial surgeons extract wisdom teeth, place implants and do jaw surgery, often under IV sedation; prosthodontists rebuild smiles with crowns, bridges and dentures; denture centers focus on full and partial dentures, relines and repairs. Sedation and hospital dentists serve anxious patients and people with special needs, while TMJ and sleep-apnea dentists make oral appliances for jaw pain and snoring.

I had gone there to have 3 teeth extracted. Had issues with bleeding and dentists which was discussed. Paid extra to be put asleep and 300.00 extra not covered to have numbing for 5 days afterwards. Woke up and was wheeled out by my husband Pain and bleeding started. This was Friday Went home and my husband called them.. nothing. Ended up in ER because the bleeding and pain were so bad. Ended back at other office in Ashboro? On Monday was seen at his other office. He did same .Stabbed me practically all in my mouth, stationed and told me that because I was over 50 and had cirrhosis and being my age the numbing didn't work. And that was that. Reminded me as a dentist in a very bad horror movie. His smile I can see in my mind still after 2 years. This is my second review since 1st was taken down. Wouldn't wish this one on my worst enemy. I didn't post any name so if you know you know. Picture was 5 days after.

Count me in the on the side of highly disappointed and dissatisfied patients of Simoncic the sadistic surgeon. My experience was the most painful and frustrating I have EVER experienced at the hands of a so called medical professional. Ditto to most all of the complaints discussed in these reviews. I too was quoted a price by Simoncic, only to have him bill me thousands more after the surgery. My wife was with me during the initial visit when he quoted me the price of my surgery, only to be billed for much more. I discussed with him my lack of tolerance to novocaine, which he said would not be a problem. But his injection of the novocaine was as if he was intentionally trying to cause the maximum amount of pain. I did not do my due diligence. Had I researched the basic reviews I would have elected to find a different surgeon. Nothing about my experience with Simoncic was acceptable. He over books his day. You can expect standing room only office visits with three hour delays. Read the other reviews. It's amazing how similar they are. Do you want a surgeon with a 2.4 rating in your child's mouth?

I just left this office after having my wisdom teeth extracted. Iβm home and in bed, but I had a great experience. Everyone was super friendly and went over everything. I didnβt spend much time with doctor, but the office was packed and I totally understand that! He did what he had to do. He introduced himself, was kind and asked if I had any questions. Before I knew it I was out, and when I woke I had no pain! He completed the surgery and moved on! My insurance covered quite a bit too and I paid a lot less then what I was expecting! I would definitely recommend this place!

This was by far the worst experience Iβve ever had medically anywhere, and I had an obgyn try to give me enough folic acid to stop my heart when I was pregnant with my daughter. First thing is that I was clearly very nervous going into this, there was no consultation before the surgery. When the nurses came in they asked me what I thought was going to happen, no one went over anything about the procedure with me, they sat in the room and talked about me like i wasnβt there and at one point were kind of making fun of me. But it gets worse, because then Dr. Simoncic came in. And if there is any doctor Iβve ever met that I donβt think should be in any way practicing medicine itβs this guy. He looked at my X-Rays for all of 10 seconds and looked at my referral, and he immediately started pressuring me to let him take the 4th wisdom tooth that my dentist told them to leave because they were also taking a molar on that side that needed to come out. He convinced me that it was pointless to keep it by barking at me about how the other wisdom tooth wasnβt going to move or finish coming out and I just needed to let him take it. Then when I sort of agreed he had them give me the medicine to p

Editing as of 6/29/24: another bone fragment, 2.5 years later, has worked its way from my extraction site. Pictured are two fragments that have worked their way out. My wisdom teeth were removed by this doctor in November 2021. Nearly 3k to remove TWO wisdom teeth. Dr was dismissive, and rude. After leaving my sockets never healed fully. The BONE did not fill in. To this day, I cannot eat rice. For months, 2-4 cm long bone fragments worked their way out of my gums. The reviews under triad oral dentistry were great, I wish I had known there was his own google listing.
